What kind of cables are you using?
ReplyDeleteI have a Monster Cable (the expensive kind) linking the two Tubescreamers and another Monster Cable (the inexpensive kind) going from the compressor to the amp, but other than that nothing special. I forget the exact brand, but all of the other cables except the one going from the wah output to the looper are some Japanese brand that cost about $15 each.
ReplyDeletenice setup Mike! I'm hoping you picked up a webcam this winter. you watching the new years run? I sold all my pedals...slimmed down to a line 6 m9. It's a fun little guy. I just got an imac, and garageband is a blast with running straight into the computer...lots of different sounds. I can't wait to see more videos.
ReplyDeleteoh, and for something a little cheaper; I use the planet waves cables.
ReplyDeletekeep going
ReplyDeleteplease
sounds like i might have to cave in a buy a new webcam... i keep getting comments on the videos and i havent posted anything in over a year. gotta give the people what they want, right?
ReplyDeleteQuestion - are you using the Compressor before the 2 Tube Screamers?
ReplyDeleteNope, after. My understanding has always been that you want to compress the distorted/overdrive sound, not distort the compressed sound. Having the compressor after the TS-9s lets you turn up the volume on the TS-9s all the way and not have it sound like crap.
