Guitar Lessons

Hello everyone!

I seem to still get some traffic on this page even though I haven't updated it in a while, and I thank you all for the former and apologize for the latter.  A couple people have contacted me on YouTube about receiving guitar lessons over Skype, and I just wanted to let anyone who is interested know that I'd be more than happy to do so. If you're interested, please contact me at michael[dot]shubin[at]gmail[dot]com.

久しぶり (It's been a while...)

So no activity on this thing for a while... a lot of different things are at fault for that aside from my laziness, but I want to show that I'm still around and I appreciate all the feedback on YouTube. Very cool that my Lesson 1 video now has over 10,000 views. That's significantly fewer views than many other not-as-awesome videos out there, but I'm not counting. As long as I keep hearing positive feedback I will continue to post videos even if only 500 people are looking at them, which is the case with some of the newer ones.

I have encountered a problem though as my new computer doesn't seem to want to work with my old webcam. The new Logitech software freezes up when I try to record a video and all the other programs I've downloaded have sucked (they were free...). I can record audio so I can post that, but until I either find a way to use my old webcam or suck it up and buy a new one, that's all that I can bring to the table besides my advice and wit.

Messin' Around

I got a lot of new gear over the winter and I figured I'd throw a couple things up here to showcase it a little bit. I've been busy so I haven't made any posts in a while but hopefully that can change... enjoy.

Here's the details on the new setup:

Guitar > Digitech Whammy II > GCB-95 Wah > TS9 (drive @ 10:00, level @ 3:00) > TS9DX{silver mod} (drive @ MAX, level @ 2:00) > CMATMODS 3-knob Ross Clone > Fender 15W amp

Free

had this one on the hard drive. not bad so i figured id throw it up here to get this thing started. ill try to start posting more instructional stuff rather than just covers.

IT begins

Alright, I've decided to start a blog dedicated to everything that is the sound of Trey Anastasio. I'm going to link all of my youtube videos to this blog and hopefully it'll be the start of something cool. Basically, I'm tired of answering the same questions again and again on the different videos, so I figured I'd start a site where I can answer questions offer advice, and hopefully learn from others out there who are way better than I am at playing the guitar.
